Manager - Growth & Demand Generation


Description:


You'll be our first marketing hire and you won't just "do marketing." You'll own the entire top of funnel: brand positioning, content, SEO, paid ads, AND outbound pipeline generation. When a CTO thinks "penetration testing," we want them to think APX. You're measured on qualified demos booked, not impressions. You build the brand AND fill the pipeline.


Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation & Outbound

- Build and run cold outreach campaigns (email + LinkedIn) targeting CISOs, CTOs, VP Engineering, and Security Leads

- Identify buying signals companies with upcoming compliance deadlines (SOC 2, ISO 27001), recent funding rounds, job postings for pentesters, or security incidents in the news

- Own the pipeline number: prospect to outreach to qualified meeting booked. You ARE the SDR + marketer in one

- Run targeted LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns aimed at API-heavy companies, fintech, healthtech, and SaaS companies approaching audits

Content & Brand

- Create educational content that positions APX as the authority "Why AI finds what scanners miss," OWASP Top 10 breakdowns, comparison guides (manual pentesting vs. Cipher), and customer proof points

- Write cold email sequences, LinkedIn posts, blog articles, and landing pages that convert technical buyers

- Build pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and ROI calculators that arm the founding team to close deals

SEO & Organic

- Own organic search for high-intent keywords: "automated penetration testing," "API security testing," "OWASP compliance testing," "AI pentesting"

- Rank pages, not just write them you understand technical SEO fundamentals

Partnerships & Community

- Identify and build relationships with compliance consultants, audit firms, and DevSecOps agencies who can refer clients needing pen testing

- Represent APX at security meetups, webinars, and conferences in the Indian cybersecurity community

- Seed conversations in relevant communities (LinkedIn groups, security Slack channels, Reddit)

What We're Looking For

- 3 to 5 years in growth, demand gen, or product marketing at a B2B SaaS company (cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or developer tools strongly preferred)

- Comfortable doing outbound yourself writing sequences, sending cold emails, following up on LinkedIn.

- You're not managing a team of SDRs; you're building the playbook from scratch

- Technically curious you don't need to be a pentester, but you need to understand what BOLA, IDOR, and SSRF mean and why a CISO cares about them

- Data-driven experimenter experience with HubSpot, Apollo, Lemlist, or similar for outreach automation and campaign tracking

- SEO fundamentals you've ranked pages before, not just published them

- Exceptional English verbal and written for a global-standard product

- Bonus: Existing network in the Indian BFSI, fintech, or healthtech security buyer community
