Manager Global Customs Compliance
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Manager - Global Customs Compliance to oversee and manage international customs operations and ensure compliance with global pre-arrival notification regulations. This role is critical in ensuring that our cargo operations meet international regulatory standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and ensure timely and accurate filings of mandatory global customs notifications, including but not limited to:
- AMS (Automated Manifest System - US)
- ICS2 (Import Control System - EU)
- UAE PLACI (Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information)
- Other pre-arrival compliance filings
- Monitor updates in global customs regulations and implement changes in internal compliance processes accordingly.
- Act as a subject matter expert on customs documentation, international trade regulations, and customs clearance strategies.
- Liaise with global authorities, freight forwarders, and internal logistics and operations teams to ensure full compliance across all geographies.
- Handle escalations, audits, and internal risk assessments related to customs activities.
- Train and guide internal teams on global customs requirements and best practices.
Key Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in Customs Compliance or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with AMS, ICS2, UAE PLACI, and other pre-arrival notification systems is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of international trade laws, import/export documentation, and customs clearance procedures.
- Prior experience in Cargo Airlines or Global Logistics Companies is highly preferred.
- Candidates from Logistics, Import & Export, or Manufacturing industries with relevant exposure will also be considered.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Immediate joiners or those with notice period below 1 month will be given preference.
