KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sr. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance on customs compliance requirements based on the destination country of the cargo.
2. Stay up to date with global customs regulations and ensure accurate interpretation and application of country-specific import/export rules.
3. Advise internal teams and clients on mandatory filings such as AMS, ICS2, UAE PLACI, and other pre-arrival notifications.
4. Identify and communicate documentation requirements, regulatory risks, and any country-specific procedures or permits needed.
5. Support registration processes with customs authorities where applicable and assist in ensuring timely and compliant execution of shipments.
6. Ensure compliance with international customs laws and regulations across the globe.
7. Develop and implement global customs compliance policies, procedures, and training.
8. Liaise with International global customs authorities and external partners
9. Monitor trade data, conduct internal audits, foresee global customs compliance issues, and lead timely resolution and corrective action plans.
10. Support cross-functional teams (logistics, procurement, legal) in customs matters.
11. Optimize use of trade programs (e.g., Free Trade Agreements, Authorized Economic Operator, CTPAT
12. Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism).
Qualifications Academics & Processional:
Certification:
- Preferably Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Global Logistics, Supply Chain
- Management or related field.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in international custom compliance, preferably in Cargo airlines or global logistics.
- Expertise in global customs regulations.
- Demonstrated success leading global compliance projects or global customs compliance teams.
