Manager - Fund Controller - 10+ Years - Pune

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Fund Controller to manage fund accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting and fund operations for Private Equity / Private Credit funds. The role requires strong expertise in complex fund structures, NAV reviews, valuations, capital activity, fee calculations and stakeholder management within a global Asset Management environment.

Responsibilities:

- Lead fund accounting, investor reporting, financial reporting and regulatory reporting activities for Private Equity / Private Credit funds.

- Review monthly and quarterly NAVs, financial statements, audits, bank reconciliations, fund expenses and other fund accounting deliverables.

- Oversee capital calls, distributions, liquidity, treasury activities, management fees, performance fees and related fund calculations.

- Coordinate with Fund Administrators to ensure accuracy, timeliness, SLA adherence and effective resolution of operational issues.

- Review complex fund structures, valuations, LPAs, side letters and accounting treatments while driving process improvements, controls and operational excellence.

Requirements:

- 10+ years of overall experience, including 7+ years in Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital or Alternative Asset Management, with strong Fund Controller experience.

- Strong understanding of PE fund structures, fund accounting, investor reporting, fund operations, valuations and asset management processes.

- Qualified CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Hands-on experience with PE fee calculations, carry, waterfall models, complex financial instruments and financial reporting; knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and/or Lux GAAP is preferred.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
