Manager - Fund Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manager Fund Accounting to lead and oversee Private Equity Fund Accounting operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in NAV calculations, waterfall models, fund accounting reviews, and stakeholder management. This role requires ownership of fund accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely issue resolution, and seamless coordination across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual fund accounting activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client requirements.

- Perform and validate Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and other fund accounting deliverables for Private Equity funds.

- Review and manage complex waterfall calculations, carried interest allocations, and partnership accounting in accordance with fund governing documents.

- Take complete ownership and accountability for identifying, investigating, and resolving cash breaks and reconciliation exceptions within defined timelines.

- Coordinate with Operations, Treasury, Investor Services, Compliance, Audit, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of fund accounting processes and timely deliverables.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and client-specific reporting obligations while supporting audit activities.

- Drive process improvement initiatives, operational efficiencies, and team development while serving as a subject matter expert for Private Equity Fund Accounting.

Required Qualifications:

- 8-12 years of relevant experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting.

- Strong hands-on experience in NAV Calculation and Waterfall Models.

- Sound understanding of capital calls, distributions, carried interest, and partnership accounting.

- Experience managing fund accounting reviews, reconciliations, and investor reporting.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
