ETHIKA INSURANCE BROKING PVT LTD

JOB DESCRIPTION

Manager - Founder Engagement & Events

Location: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR

Experience: 0 - 1 year

Qualification: MBA/PGDM from IIMs

Reporting To: Founder / Head of Growth

Females Preferred for this Role

About Ethika

Ethika is an independent, IRDAI-licensed insurance broker focused on Group Health Insurance and Employee Benefits.

We work with companies to improve employee benefits, strengthen insurance programmes and create better experiences for employees and HR teams.

Ethika is building a strong ecosystem of founders, business leaders and HR professionals through curated conversations, workshops and leadership-focused events.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-energy, entrepreneurial IIM graduate who can work closely with the Founder to build and grow a community of founders and business leaders.

This role sits at the intersection of Event Management, Founder Engagement, Relationship Building and Business Development.

You will not be sitting behind a desk managing a database.

You will identify interesting founders and business leaders, get them into the right conversations, help create compelling events and workshops, ensure an exceptional experience for participants, and build relationships that continue beyond the event.

If you enjoy meeting people, organising experiences, selling an idea, following up relentlessly and figuring things out without being told every step, this role could be a strong fit.

What You Will Do

1. Build the Founder Network:

- Identify founders, CEOs, CXOs and business leaders of relevant companies.

- Research companies, industries and decision-makers to identify the right people to engage.

- Reach out to founders through LinkedIn, calls, email, events and referrals.

- Build genuine relationships rather than simply collecting contacts.

2. Drive Founder Participation:

- Personally engage with founders and business leaders and invite them to curated workshops and events.

- Understand what would make a founder attend and create a compelling reason for them to participate.

- Follow up consistently before and after events.

- Build a pipeline of potential participants, speakers, partners and collaborators.

3. Own Events & Workshops:

- Support the Founder in planning and executing founder-focused workshops, roundtables and leadership events.

- Coordinate venues, speakers, partners, participants, communication and event logistics.

- Ensure every participant has a high-quality experience.

- Manage pre-event, event-day and post-event activities end-to-end.

4. Build Relationships Beyond the Event:

- Stay connected with founders and senior business leaders after every event.

- Create opportunities for repeat participation, referrals and introductions.

- Understand the businesses and networks of the people you engage with.

- Identify potential business opportunities for Ethika where relevant.

5. Build the Community & Brand:

- Work with the Founder on LinkedIn and other channels to amplify workshops and founder stories.

- Identify interesting conversations, insights and content that can attract the next set of founders.

- Help build a strong and credible founder community around Ethika.

6. Think Commercially:

- Track participants, meetings, referrals, repeat engagement and opportunities generated.

- Understand what types of founders, companies, events and conversations create the highest value.

- Experiment with new ways of filling rooms and building the founder network.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are specifically looking for IIM graduates - freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who demonstrate:

- Excellent verbal and written communication.

- Confidence interacting with senior professionals.

- Strong networking and relationship-building ability.

- High energy and ownership.

- Strong business curiosity and commercial thinking.

- Ability to research and understand businesses quickly.

- Comfort with calling, LinkedIn outreach and direct conversations.

- Strong event planning and execution skills.

- Ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing attention to detail.

- A builder mindset - someone who enjoys creating something from scratch.

Relevant Backgrounds Could Include:

- MBA/PGDM from IIMs

- Consulting / Strategy internships

- B2B Sales / Business Development

- Founder's Office

- Event Management

- Marketing / Community Building

- Investment Banking / Private Equity / Venture Capital internships

- Entrepreneurship / startup experience

- College leadership, E-Cell, consulting club or major event leadership

Prior insurance experience is not required.

What Will Make You Stand Out?

We will look beyond your résumé.

Tell us about something you have built, organised, sold, influenced or brought people together for.

For example:

- Did you organise a large college event?

- Did you build a community?

- Did you convince senior people to participate in something?

- Did you lead an entrepreneurship or consulting initiative?

- Did you bring sponsors or partners onboard?

- Did you build something outside academics?

- Can you walk into a room full of strangers and start meaningful conversations?

We value initiative, curiosity and execution as much as academic credentials.

What This Role Is NOT:

- It is not a traditional tele calling role.

- It is not a pure event-coordination role.

- It is not a conventional insurance sales role.

- It is not a back-office relationship management role.

It is a Founder-facing, high-ownership role where you will be expected to combine networking, event execution, business development and relationship building.

Why This Role?

You will work closely with the Founder and get direct exposure to:

- Founders and CEOs

- Business strategy

- Leadership conversations

- Event and community building

- B2B relationship acquisition

- Business development

- Building a new growth channel

This is an opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build rather than simply execute a predefined job description.

If you are an IIM graduate who enjoys people, business, events and creating opportunities from scratch - we would like to meet you.
