Position: Manager - Financial Services Group

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Hyderabad

We're partnering with a US top professional services firm expanding their India operations in Hyderabad. This hiring is a major step in their global operations expansion in the Assurance business. Role Summary:

Manages full audit engagements ensuring alignment with GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB. Serves as the primary client contact, balancing technical excellence with operational efficiency and engagement profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage teams of audit professionals across engagements, ensuring productivity and quality.

- Conduct second/first-level reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure proper documentation and risk mitigation.

- Act as primary liaison with US engagement teams; deliver clear, timely communication and manage expectations.

- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and utilization for associates and seniors in coordination with RM.

- Ensure compliance with firm processes, security protocols, and quality standards.

- Provide continuous coaching, in-the-moment feedback, and support performance evaluations.

- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment and promote operational excellence.

Core Skills & Competencies:

- Comprehensive technical proficiency in GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB.

- Strong understanding of risk assessment and internal control frameworks.

- Ability to resolve complex accounting and auditing issues.

- Leadership in engagement planning, review, and team development.

- Professional skepticism and critical judgment in decision-making.

Education & Credentials:

- CA or CPA required with bachelor's degree in accounting.

- 7-9 years of assurance experience, including prior management of staff and seniors.

- Financial Services experience required - Financial Services Group is must have.

Delegation / Decision Authority:

- Authority to approve audit deliverables and engagement plans within defined scope.

- Responsible for managing engagement budgets, timelines, and quality outcomes.

Notes:

Bridges technical mastery and leadership, driving engagement execution and client satisfaction under all major audit standards and frameworks.
