Job Purpose:
- Support the preparation, review, and submission of accurate financial statements and regulatory reports in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, Ind AS, and other applicable standards. Ensure timely month-end/quarter-end/year-end closes, provide insightful analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Treasury, Audit, Legal) to maintain high-quality financial reporting for internal stakeholders, regulators, and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review primary financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, statement of changes in equity) and related disclosures/notes in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, Ind AS, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with global accounting standards (strong focus on IFRS and US GAAP differences), internal controls (SOX/equivalent), and regulatory filings (e.g., statutory returns, prudential reports).
- Conduct technical reviews of financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting policies; identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and risks; prepare management reports, commentary, and insights for senior leadership.
- Support audit processes by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and coordinating with external/internal auditors.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy, perform inter-company reconciliations, and handle lease accounting, revenue recognition, or other complex IFRS/US GAAP topics (e.g., IFRS 9, IFRS 15, ASC 606/842).
- Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Tax, and business units to ensure data consistency and alignment across entities.
- Participate in system upgrades, process improvements, and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements, board/management reports, and ad-hoc analyses as required
