Position: Manager - Financial Reporting & Compliance

Our client is one of India's leading consumer-focused beauty and lifestyle platforms, recognised for its scale, fast-paced operating environment, and strong governance and reporting standards as a listed entity. The Finance function is central to the business, and this role sits at the heart of legal entity reporting, compliance, and ongoing process transformation, including a Mega ERP initiative. The identity of the company is being kept confidential at this stage of the search and will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join as Manager - Financial Reporting, an individual contributor role responsible for the finalization of legal entity financials across the group on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The role calls for strong hands-on experience in financial reporting, MIS, and compliance, ideally built within a consumer-facing organisation of similar scale and complexity. The incumbent will work closely with Treasury, Tax, HR & Admin, and Statutory Auditors, and will play an active role in driving the company's ongoing ERP transformation and broader process improvement agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Preparation and finalization of 7 to 8 legal entity financials on a monthly basis (excluding International entities for now)
- Review of Balance Sheet post release of MIS, identifying areas for improvement in working capital and asset management
- Broad review of G&A at the legal entity level
- Monitoring of debt covenants basis the monthly financial statements
- Ind AS adjustment workings and entries
- ICFR documentation for the FSCP process (financial statement preparation and finalization)
- Supporting Treasury and Tax teams on inputs for reconciliations / statement submissions
2. Quarterly & Annual Finalization:
- Preparation and finalization of 12 financials annually, along with Cash Flow Statements and Notes to Accounts
- Analytical review at the legal entity level
- Preparing analytical review CAS for statutory auditors
- Preparation of CAS for Ind AS adjustments; collaborating with auditors on these adjustments and related HR schedules (Leave, Gratuity, etc.)
- ICFR documentation for the FSCP process
- Review of Balance Sheet reclassification entries
- Preparation of the AC Deck for financials
- Review of Balance Sheet and identification of areas for improvement in working capital and asset management
- Monitoring of debt covenants basis the financial statements
- Supporting Treasury and Tax teams on inputs for reconciliations / statement submissions
- Providing inputs for ESG reporting
3. Business Partnering & Process Transformation:
- Acting as Finance Business Partner to HR & Admin functions, tracking related costs and supporting HR & Admin finance partnering
- Actively driving the Mega ERP project and other process improvement / automation initiatives
- Rationalization and standardization of the Chart of Accounts
- Preparation of accounting policies, memos, etc.
4. Governance & Compliance:
- Ensuring due support for LODR-related filings and compliances
- Tracking and ensuring compliances including RPTs, XBRL filings, etc.
- Fixed Asset Management
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - mandatory
- 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in financial reporting, MIS, and compliance
- Prior experience in a consumer-facing business or a company of similar scale/structure preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP is important
- Strong understanding of Ind AS and statutory financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ICFR / FSCP processes and coordination with statutory auditors
- Prior involvement in ERP implementation or process improvement projects is an advantage
