Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our leadership team in Bangalore as a Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis within the fast-paced retail sector. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the business, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive profitability and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional department heads and the senior leadership team to steer the companys fiscal health, ensuring that our growth trajectory remains aligned with our long-term financial objectives. By bridging the gap between finance and retail operations, you will directly influence decision-making processes that optimize store performance, inventory management, and overall market expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles to provide the leadership team with a clear roadmap for financial performance and resource allocation.

- Execute deep-dive variance analysis on monthly financial results to identify performance gaps and recommend corrective measures to stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate the profitability of new store openings, promotional campaigns, and category expansions.

- Drive the preparation of comprehensive MIS reports that track key retail performance indicators, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

- Partner with business heads to provide financial oversight, ensuring that departmental spending remains within budgetary constraints while supporting strategic growth initiatives.

- Streamline financial planning processes to improve accuracy and reduce cycle times, enabling the business to respond more effectively to changing market dynamics.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning, Financial Analysis, and Budgeting, with a proven track record of managing complex P&L responsibilities within the retail or consumer-facing industries.

- Advanced proficiency in building robust Financial Modeling frameworks that support long-term strategic planning and capital investment decisions.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large datasets into concise MIS reports for executive-level consumption.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to influence senior stakeholders and translate financial complexities into clear business narratives.

- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, hybrid work environment in Bangalore, balancing rigorous analytical tasks with the agility required for retail operations.

- A professional qualification such as a CA, MBA (Finance) from a premier institute, or CFA, reflecting a strong foundation in corporate finance and business strategy.
