About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Manager of FP&A with 10-12 years of specialized experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. Based in Gurugram, this hybrid role is critical for leading financial reporting excellence, driving digital transformation, and owning complex reinsurance and statutory reporting functions. You will be a key partner to senior leadership, external auditors, and regulators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial & Regulatory Reporting Ownership: Own the end-to-end execution and integrity of critical financial reporting packages, including those adhering to SEC, US GAAP, and Statutory reporting requirements.
- Specialized Insurance Accounting: Manage and oversee technical P&C accounting processes, including Direct & Ceded accounting, Reinsurance calculations, IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) reserve analysis, and complex FAC Treaty accounting.
- Digital Transformation & Process Excellence: Drive and implement impactful digital process automation initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies across finance operations.
- Strategic Leadership & Transitions: Oversee complex offshore transitions of finance functions, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
- Team Development & Mentorship: Actively mentor and develop cross-functional teams within the finance organization, building high-performing capabilities in insurance accounting and reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary financial liaison, actively partnering with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal senior leadership on key strategic and compliance initiatives.
Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills):
- Experience: 10-12 years of dedicated experience in Insurance Accounting/Financial Reporting, specifically within the Property & Casualty sector.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in financial frameworks (SEC, US GAAP, Statutory) and deep operational knowledge of reinsurance operations (ceded, assumed, treaty/facultative).
- Process Certification: Lean/Six Sigma certified mandatory requirement for driving process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
- Leadership: Strong proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with prior experience managing teams or large financial projects.
Preferred Skills:
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional financial certification.
- Experience implementing or upgrading financial reporting systems (e.g., general ledger, reinsurance systems).
- Demonstrated ability to use visualization tools for financial analysis and reporting.
