Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced FP&A professional to drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business performance analysis and profitability improvement across resort operations.

The role will work closely with senior finance leadership, operations and business teams to deliver financial insights, strengthen planning processes and support strategic and operational decision-making.

The position will also oversee FP&A reporting and analytics, ensuring timely, accurate and meaningful financial information for management reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Drive annual budgeting, financial planning and periodic forecasting for resort operations.

- Prepare revenue, operating expense, profitability and cash flow projections.

- Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and underlying business drivers.

- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning and management decisions.

- Identify emerging financial risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate actions.

2. Business Performance & Profitability Management:

- Analyse resort-wise financial performance, including revenue, operating expenses, GOP (Gross Operating Profit) and operating margins.

- Evaluate key performance indicators such as occupancy, average room rate, operating costs and resort profitability.

- Identify revenue enhancement opportunities, cost inefficiencies and margin improvement initiatives.

- Partner with resort leadership to monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions.

- Provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency and overall business profitability.

3. FP&A Business Partnering:

- Act as a finance business partner to resort operations and senior management.

- Work closely with business leaders to understand operational performance and its financial implications.

- Translate financial data into actionable recommendations supporting revenue growth, cost optimisation and profitability.

- Support business reviews, performance discussions and financial decision-making.

- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and operational improvement plans.

4. FP&A Reporting & Analytics:

- Drive monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial performance analysis.

- Prepare and analyse MIS reports, financial dashboards and management review presentations covering revenue, costs, profitability and key business KPIs.

- Conduct budget versus actual and forecast versus actual variance analysis, highlighting key financial trends and performance drivers.

- Strengthen reporting processes through standardisation, automation and improved data accuracy.

- Collaborate with Finance, IT, SAP and business teams to improve reporting efficiency and analytical capabilities.

- Deliver meaningful financial insights to support leadership reviews and business decisions.

5. Cost Optimisation & Financial Efficiency:

- Analyse key operating expenses, including manpower, utilities, food and beverage, maintenance and other resort operating costs.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operating margin improvement.

- Track the financial impact of cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

- Support management in improving resource utilisation and financial performance across resort operations.

Ideal Profile:

- CA with 8 years of strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), business finance or commercial finance.

- Hands-on experience in annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis and financial modelling.

- Experience in P&L analysis, business performance reviews, cost optimisation and profitability improvement.

- Ability to work closely with business and operations teams as a finance business partner.

- Strong exposure to management reporting, financial dashboards, MIS and financial analytics.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modelling; exposure to SAP and business intelligence tools would be advantageous.

- Experience in hospitality, resorts, hotels or other multi-location operating businesses would be preferred.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial insights to senior management.
