Role Overview:

The Manager Financial Accounting will oversee the delivery of all financial accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with statutory and regulatory standards. The role is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial statements, driving process transitions, implementing strong financial controls, and leading a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Oversee period-end financial closings and reporting in compliance with IGAAP/FRS/AGAAP standards.

- Review and validate journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

- Ensure timely filing of statutory and compliance requirements.

2. Governance & Controls:

- Establish, document, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

- Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.

- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

3. Process Transition & Improvement:

- Lead transitions of financial accounting processes, including team setup, training, and knowledge transfer.

- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced efficiency.

- Maintain updated and standardized process documentation.

4. Stakeholder Management:

- Build strong relationships with onshore and offshore finance teams.

- Collaborate with business units to implement efficient and compliant service delivery models.

- Support finance transformation projects and business initiatives.

5. People Leadership:

- Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of finance professionals.

- Manage performance, training, and career development initiatives.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 7-10 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, and process management.

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IGAAP/FRS/AGAAP).

- Hands-on experience with SAP Finance (S/4HANA) or similar ERP systems.

Preferred Experience:

- Background in Retail or Consumer Goods industry.

- Experience in transitioning finance processes to a shared service or GCC setup.

- Familiarity with SAP Ariba or other finance automation tools.
