Finance Manager - Trading Division

About the Role

A leading conglomerate group in Jakarta is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to independently manage end-to-end finance and commercial operations for its Trading division. The role sits at the intersection of operations and strategy - requiring someone equally comfortable with day-to-day finance as with boardroom-level discussions.

Reporting Structure

The role reports administratively to the CEO in Indonesia and functionally to the Group CFO at HQ, with a dotted line to the Group Promoters. This is a high-visibility position with direct exposure to senior leadership and business owners.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

- Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

- Maintain books as per Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK/IFRS)

Commercial & Business Support

- Partner with CEO on commercial decisions, pricing and business strategy

- Provide financial insights to sales, procurement and operations teams

- Support contract reviews, vendor negotiations and trading P&L management

Group & Promoter Reporting

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Group CFO as per group deadlines

- Prepare MIS and financial summaries for promoter-level reviews

- Maintain transparency and governance standards expected by group leadership

Compliance & Controls

- Ensure full tax compliance - PPH, PPN, transfer pricing and annual filings

- Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness

- Oversee statutory and tax audits end-to-end

Operations Finance

- Manage working capital, cash flow and treasury functions

- Oversee AR/AP, reconciliations and inventory accounting

- Liaise with banks, auditors and regulatory authorities

Candidate Requirements

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ICAI) - mandatory

- Experience: 4-7 years post-qualification in Trading or Manufacturing

- Industry: Prior experience in a trading company or manufacturing is preferred

- Skills: Strong in commercial finance, not just accounting

- Languages: English proficiency required; Bahasa Indonesia is a plus

- Location: Must be willing to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia

- Openness: Open to Indian nationals relocating to Indonesia
