Position Summary:

The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations for both the Shared Services function and Manufacturing unit(s) in India. The role involves managing accounting, reporting, budgeting, cost control, and compliance processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company and statutory requirements. The Finance Manager will act as a strategic business partner to drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and financial performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Manager Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage finance operations within the Shared Services Center (SSC) for multiple business units, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.

- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and reporting in accordance with accounting compliance.

- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across shared finance processes.

- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations.

- Ensuring compliance with all statutory regulation and timely filing of all returns with the help of external consultants.

Manufacturing / Plant Finance Responsibilities:

- Partner with plant management to develop, monitor, and analyze key manufacturing metrics including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and production variances.

- Oversee standard costing, cost accounting, and bill of materials (BOM) accuracy.

- Prepare plant-level budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis; provide actionable insights to improve profitability and productivity.

- Monitor and control capital expenditures (CAPEX), working capital, and operating expenses.

- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and cost-reduction programs through data-driven financial analysis.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (ICWA)

- Experience: 6-8 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment and/or shared service setup.

- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliances.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamic or similar).

- Proficiency in MS Excel and data analytics tools (Power BI).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
