Job Description:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Build and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.

- Analyse revenue, costs, margins, working capital, and cash flows.

- Prepare monthly MIS, management reports, and financial dashboards.

- Evaluate financial performance against targets and support business decisions.

2. Transaction Advisory & Fundraising Support:

- Apply transaction advisory and financial due diligence experience to financial reporting and decision-making.

- Support fundraising, financial due diligence, investor data rooms, financial models, and information requests.

- Prepare financial analyses, business performance summaries, and investor presentations.

- Evaluate strategic opportunities, business partnerships, and potential transactions.

- Support valuation analysis, scenario modelling, and financial assessment of business initiatives.

3. Accounting & Financial Controls:

- Oversee monthly financial closing, trial balance reviews, provisions, and reconciliations.

- Coordinate with the accounting team and external CA firms on bookkeeping, financial statements, and audits.

- Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, working capital, and cash flow.

- Support GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.

- Identify gaps in financial processes and implement controls and approval workflows.

4. Business Finance & Strategic Analysis:

- Develop financial models for new business initiatives, expansion plans, store economics, and profitability.

- Analyse unit economics, customer and channel profitability, operating costs, and contribution margins.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business plans into financial outcomes.

- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, cash conversion, and financial performance.

5. Finance Process & Systems:

- Build scalable reporting processes, financial models, and standard operating procedures.

- Improve the quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial data and reporting.

- Evaluate opportunities to automate financial reporting and improve finance systems.

- Own finance projects and work directly with leadership on high-impact initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4 - 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

- Big 4 experience in Transaction Advisory Services, Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services, or a related financial advisory role.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modelling, business valuation, cash flows, working capital, and profitability analysis.

- Experience in financial due diligence, transaction analysis, or fundraising-related financial assessments.

- Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and derive actionable insights.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, audit processes, and Indian statutory compliance.

- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to business stakeholders and senior leadership.

- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Good to Have:

- Experience with startups, scale-ups, e-commerce, retail, D2C, or consumer businesses.

- Exposure to fundraising, investor reporting, board presentations, or deal execution.

- Experience building financial models and management reporting frameworks from scratch.

- Familiarity with accounting and ERP systems and financial reporting automation.
