Senior Manager - Finance & Commercial

Role Overview: Strategic Finance in Airport Operations


Join a leading airport infrastructure and operations organization dedicated to managing world-class airport facilities across India. This pivotal role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead the financial planning, reporting, and commercial analysis for dynamic, high-scale airport operations. The successful candidate will drive cost optimization, strengthen governance, and provide critical financial support for future projects and expansion.


This position offers strong exposure to innovation, technology-driven processes, and growth-focused learning in the high-impact aviation sector.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Financial Planning & Reporting (FP&A)


- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development, consolidation, and tracking of the annual operating plan (AOP), budgets, and monthly/quarterly forecasts for airport operations.


- Performance Reporting: Generate and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to the management team, providing commercial insights into revenue tracking, cost variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).


- Cost Optimization: Proactively identify areas for cost reduction and optimization across various operational and departmental expenses, driving efficiency improvements.


- Revenue Assurance: Implement and monitor robust processes for accurate revenue tracking, reconciliation, and realization from commercial contracts and aeronautical streams.


2. Accounting, Compliance & Controls


- Statutory Reporting: Take ownership of all aspects of financial accounting, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.


- Ind AS Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and other regulatory requirements for financial statement preparation and disclosure.


- Audits & Governance: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring seamless execution and timely resolution of queries.


- Internal Controls: Strengthen and streamline Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and processes to mitigate risk and ensure financial integrity across the organization.


3. Commercial & Strategic Analysis


- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making for new capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans, business development, and financial feasibility analysis for new infrastructure projects.


- Commercial Support: Provide analytical support to commercial and procurement teams, reviewing contract terms, conducting profitability analysis, and evaluating investment returns.


- Regulatory Liaison: Collaborate with the regulatory team to prepare and submit financial information required for airport economic regulation and tariff determination.


Ideal Candidate Profile:


Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:


Education: Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).


Experience: 4-8 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a progressive finance role.


Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), compliance, and financial reporting.


Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient in SAP/ERP systems, advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial functions), and financial modelling techniques.


Preferred Background & Competencies:


Industry Exposure: Experience in aviation, infrastructure, or large-scale multi-unit operational environments is highly preferred.


Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business insights.


Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams (Operations, Procurement, Commercial).
