Role Overview:
- As the Plant Manager - Finance & Accounts, you will be the financial backbone of our Bangalore plant operations located in Peenya, Tumkur road, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and compliance with all statutory requirements.
- You will collaborate closely with the plant operations team, corporate finance, and external auditors to provide insightful financial analysis that drives informed decision-making and optimizes plant performance. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the plant and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial accounting for the Bangalore plant, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful commentary on variances and trends to plant management and corporate finance.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for the plant, working with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
- Implement and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives within the plant, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Provide financial support and guidance to plant operations team on capital expenditure projects, ensuring projects are financially viable and aligned with company strategy.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of plant finance and accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proven expertise in Indian taxation laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Strong understanding of internal control principles and experience in implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) with 4-6 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
