Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Manager with 7-10 years of experience in the BFSI sector. This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the financial reporting framework, compliance with IND-AS, operational finance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on experience across core finance functions, and the ability to contribute strategically through budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and engage with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & Accounts Operations:
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable operations.
- Handle cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utility payments.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
- Conduct revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
- Oversee capital and fixed asset reconciliations, tracking, and debt servicing.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements as per IND-AS.
- Conduct regular MIS and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial performance, including yield, cost of borrowing, and Net Interest Margin (NIM).
- Support strategic business decisions with data-driven insights and portfolio-level analytics.
3. Regulatory & RBI-Specific Financial Compliance
- Ensure compliance with RBI Master Directions, liquidity norms (LCR/ALM), and CRAR requirements.
- Liaise with RBI, statutory auditors, and regulators for inspections and compliance queries.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial disclosures as per IND-AS and RBI norms.
4. Systems, Controls & Compliance
- Participate in ERP implementations (Tally, Oracle, or SAP).
- Implement and monitor financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Automate reconciliations, workflows, and reporting processes for scalability.
- Compute IND-AS adjustments such as:
o EIR (Effective Interest Rate - Ind AS 109),
o ECL (Expected Credit Loss - Ind AS 109),
o EIS (Effective Interest Spread for derecognized financial assets like PTC/securitization).
- Prepare and track annual operating plans versus actuals.
5. Fund Management & Borrowings
- Manage working capital and coordinate fund drawdowns from lenders and banking partners.
- Track and manage repayment schedules, interest costs, and covenant compliance.
- Oversee securitization & Direct Assignment (DA) accounting, including PTC-related reconciliations and investor reporting.
6. Treasury & ALM Oversight-
- Support ALM activities, including liquidity planning, maturity profiling, and funding strategy.
- Prepare ALCO reports and collaborate with Risk team for regulatory alignment.
7. Budgeting & Operational Finance-
- Lead the preparation of monthly/quarterly budgets for disbursements, collections, and branches.
- Collaborate with business heads to monitor cost-to-income, yields, and operational KPIs.
8. Audit & Governance-
- Coordinate internal audits covering lending, expense, and vendor areas.
- Facilitate statutory and RBI audit requirements, and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Experience Requirements
- Proven expertise in preparing IND-AS financial statements, including both standalone and consolidated accounts.
- Familiarity with IFRS and any prior experience working in Saudi Arabia is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience across core finance functions, including taxation, revenue management, accounts payable/receivable, banking, and treasury.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare MIS and deliver board-level presentations to directors and investors.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
