Job Summary:

The Manager - Finance & Accounts will support the finance department by ensuring accurate reporting, MIS, taxation, and compliance. The role involves preparing financial statements, ensuring the smooth processing of transactions, creating trackers and reports, and assisting with tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and audits. Prior experience with a media or film production company is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance, Accounting & Financial Statements:

- Tax Filing: Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and TDS payments and filings.

- Reconciliation: Perform GST input tax credit reconciliation (GSTR-2A/2B vs. books).

- Documentation: Organize financial records, including income statements, expense records, and invoices for tax reporting.

- Audit Support: Assist in gathering data for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

- Balance Sheet: Prepare and present a snapshot of the company's financial position, ensuring accuracy in assets, liabilities, and equity.

- Cash Flow Statement: Monitor and report cash inflows and outflows, ensuring financial stability.

- Profit & Loss Statement (P&L): Track revenues and expenses to evaluate the company's performance.

- Special Purpose Reports: Generate reports for specific needs such as tax filings, audits, or investor requirements.

- Compliance Monitoring: Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations and ensure company compliance, including compliance with financial policies and procedures across all revenue and cost-related transactions.

MIS & Data Management:

- Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports on financial metrics, operational performance, cost report tracker, and cashflow projections.

- Ensure accurate Management Information System (MIS) reports for decision-making.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Develop and maintain automated dashboards and visualizations to track revenue and cost.

- Generate special-purpose financial reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.

Software Proficiency:

- Work with accounting software such as Tally to process financial data and generate reports.

- Ensure all financial records are updated and reconciled within the systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- CA with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience, or a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- Proven experience in financial management, taxation, and accounting.

- Experience with a well-established Media and Entertainment company.

- Expertise in accounting software, specifically Tally and Zoho Books.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
