Description:
Role Purpose:
The Manager Finance & Accounts will own corporate finance operations while providing financial oversight of manufacturing sites. This hybrid role ensures accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, internal controls, and cost management, while acting as a strategic finance partner bridging corporate and plant operations, aligned to MNC/global finance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Finance & Accounting:
- Manage day-to-day corporate accounting: GL, accruals, provisions, journal entries, reconciliations.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closures and MIS reporting for management.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Ind AS / IFRS and internal reporting standards.
- Oversee fixed assets accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations.
Manufacturing Finance Oversight:
- Provide financial governance and review for manufacturing sites.
- Review product costing, inventory valuations (RM, WIP, FG), and manufacturing overheads.
- Ensure internal controls, SOP adherence, and policy compliance across sites.
- Validate inter-site/inter-company transactions for accuracy and compliance.
Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial planning across corporate and manufacturing units.
- Conduct variance analysis, scenario planning, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Assist in financial modeling for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Statutory Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF/ESI, and other statutory obligations.
- Coordinate statutory and internal audits, tax audits, and respond to regulatory authorities.
- Continuously strengthen internal financial controls, SOPs, and process documentation.
Treasury & Working Capital:
- Support cash flow planning, banking operations, and fund utilization.
- Monitor working capital metrics: receivables, payables, inventory.
Stakeholder & Team Management:
- Act as a finance partner to corporate functions and manufacturing leadership.
- Coordinate with group/global finance teams on reporting, governance, and compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance & accounts team.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
- Bachelors/Masters in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
- Exposure to pharma / API / chemical manufacturing preferred
Experience:
- 812 years in finance & accounts with corporate and manufacturing exposure
- Experience in MNC or European reporting environments preferred
- Hands-on in manufacturing costing, inventory, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
