Manager - Finance & Accounts - FMCG/D2C

Role Overview:

Our client is a fast-growing D2C consumer brand building products that customers love. As we continue to scale rapidly across online, marketplace, quick commerce, and retail channels, we are looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Manager to strengthen our finance function and ensure robust financial processes. We are looking for a hands-on finance professional with strong accounting fundamentals and prior experience in a D2C, FMCG, or consumer products environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end accounting, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.

- Prepare accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.

- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances, ensuring timely filings.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

- Manage cash flow planning, working capital, and vendor/customer reconciliations.

- Monitor inventory accounting and COGS in collaboration with supply chain and operations teams.

- Ensure accurate accounting of marketplace sales, payment gateways, returns, discounts, commissions, and settlements.

- Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve finance processes and SOPs.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Assist leadership with financial insights and business decision-making.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement.

Ideal Candidate:

- CA/ CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com or equivalent qualification.

- 5-8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.

- Prior experience in a D2C, FMCG, consumer goods, food & beverage, beauty, personal care, or retail business is essential.

- Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.

- Experience handling inventory-led businesses with multiple sales channels.

- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Tally, SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting and MIS.
