Position: Manager - Finance & Accounts

Location: Head Office - Mumbai

Reporting To: Finance Head

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience: 4-8 years of post-qualification (post-articleship) experience in Finance & Accounts.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Manager Finance & Accounts to oversee financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, treasury, taxation, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive financial governance and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process.

- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and all applicable statutory requirements.

- Coordinate statutory audits and resolve audit observations to ensure clean audit reports.

- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records and statements.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:

- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

- Establish effective financial controls to prevent revenue leakage.

- Coordinate with revenue auditors and provide timely responses to audit observations.

- Monitor debtor reconciliations and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.

- Ensure compliance with TDS and other applicable tax regulations.

Financial Planning & Cost Control:

- Monitor operating expenses against approved budgets and Annual Operating Plans (AOP).

- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.

- Support management with financial insights for informed decision-making.

Treasury & Debt Management:

- Manage debt and non-fund-based financing requirements for capital expenditure.

- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for loan documentation and financing arrangements.

- Ensure timely debt servicing and compliance with lender covenants.

- Develop financial models and business projections to support strategic planning and financing initiatives.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory tax returns.

- Manage tax assessments, departmental notices, appeals, and related compliance matters.

- Liaise with tax consultants and legal advisors to resolve tax-related issues.

Budgeting & MIS:

- Prepare Annual Operating Plans (AOP) with detailed financial analysis.

- Generate periodic Management Information System (MIS) reports covering revenue, expenses, profitability, and key financial metrics.

- Present meaningful financial insights to support business and operational decisions.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, government bodies, and other key stakeholders.

- Ensure timely resolution of stakeholder queries and compliance-related matters.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Ind AS, GAAP, taxation, and statutory compliance.

- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS.

- Treasury and working capital management expertise.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
