Position: Manager - Finance and Accounts

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Oversee and manage the complete financial closing process (monthly, quarterly, annually) in accordance with Indian GAAP/Ind AS and company policies.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss A/c, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and provide insightful reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Management:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budget/forecast, analyze deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain strong cost control measures to optimize operational expenditure.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate computation, payment, and filing of all direct and indirect taxes (e.g., Income Tax, GST, TDS, TCS) as per Indian tax laws.
- Manage and coordinate all statutory audits (internal and external) and tax assessments, ensuring full compliance.
- Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure proactive compliance and advise management on implications.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage daily cash flow operations, including monitoring receipts and payments.
- Develop and implement effective cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risk.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions for operational banking needs.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
- Establish, maintain, and enforce robust internal financial controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the finance and accounts department.
- Develop and update finance policies and procedures in line with best practices.
Accounts Management (AP, AR, GL):
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, collections, and reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate record-keeping and proper reconciliation of all accounts.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals.
- Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a key point of contact for auditors, tax consultants, and other external financial partners.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, HR) to provide financial insights and support their objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- 7-8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounts, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS/Indian GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, TCS).
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally ERP.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA in Finance or other relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA).
- Prior experience in a fast-paced industry or a multinational company.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities.
