Role Overview:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage the organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in the service industry and strong expertise in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial controls.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining statutory compliance, monitoring cash flows, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

- Ensure accurate and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts.

- Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.

- Analyze financial performance, revenue, expenses, profitability, and variances.

- Ensure proper accounting of revenue, expenses, provisions, accruals, and receivables/payables.

2. Budgeting & Financial Planning:

- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial projections.

- Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances.

- Support management with financial analysis and business insights.

- Assist in developing cost-control and profitability improvement initiatives.

3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.

- Coordinate with tax consultants and external advisors, wherever required.

- Review GST/TDS workings, returns, reconciliations, and related documentation.

- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and compliance calendars.

4. Audit & Internal Controls:

- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors.

- Ensure timely preparation and submission of audit schedules and supporting documents.

- Strengthen financial controls, accounting processes, and SOPs.

- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls.

5. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:

- Monitor daily/weekly cash flows and working capital requirements.

- Manage receivables, payables, and collection processes.

- Prepare cash-flow forecasts and ensure adequate liquidity.

- Work closely with business teams to improve collections and control outstanding receivables.

6. Business Finance & Management Support:

- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management.

- Support commercial decisions through profitability and cost analysis.

- Review contracts, commercial proposals, and financial implications where required.

- Develop and track key financial KPIs for management review.

7. Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.

- Review the team's work for accuracy and compliance.

- Establish clear processes, responsibilities, and timelines within the finance function.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.

- Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and applicable financial regulations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting/MIS.

- Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho, or similar platforms.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial processes.

Qualification & Experience:

- CA (Chartered Accountant) - Mandatory.

- 4 - 6 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting.

- Relevant experience in the service industry preferred.

- Experience managing a finance/accounting team will be an advantage.
