Role: Export Marketing Manager New Business Division
Dept. / Function / Location: Exports - Marketing; Based in Kolkata, with travel to key markets
Reporting Manager: Head - Marketing (New Business) / Head - Exports
Direct Reports - Positions: Export Marketing Executive / Content & Activation Specialist (as applicable)
Role Objectives:
- Localise brand positioning, communication and activation plans while maintaining global brand consistency.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop annual export marketing calendar by brand, market and channel (retail, modern trade, ecommerce, 3P marketplaces, kiosks).
- Conduct market research and consumer/competition analysis to identify new market opportunities, pricepack architecture and portfolio gaps.
- Create and adapt communication assets, packaging claims, POSM and digital content suited to local languages, regulations and shopper insights.
- Plan and execute BTL and trade marketing: instore visibility, promoter programs, sampling, launches, retailer activations and distributorled campaigns.
- Partner with digital/ecommerce teams for export performance marketing, brand stores, marketplace visibility and content optimisation (images, A+ content, videos).
- Manage export marketing budgets, track ROI and optimise spends across markets and channels.
- Ensure all communication and packaging comply with countryspecific regulatory requirements for cosmetics/personal care.
- Support export sales team with toolkits: brand decks, price lists, training material for distributor teams, and participation in trade fairs/exhibitions.
Qualification:
- Graduate in Marketing / Business; MBA/PG in Marketing or International Business preferred.
Experience:
- 5-9 years in FMCG/beauty/fragrance/cosmetics marketing with at least 3-4 years handling international or export markets.
Competencies:
- Strong brand and consumer understanding, with ability to translate insights into localised campaigns.
- Handson experience in trade marketing, digital marketing and content development for personal care/FMCG.
- Project management and crossfunctional collaboration with sales, supply chain, packaging and regulatory.
- Creative thinking with structured planning and strong execution bias.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with international partners and diverse cultures.
