They are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Export Manager to strengthen their team in Guntur.

Position Overview:

- We are urgently seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Export Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of export logistics operations.

- The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with extensive experience in managing complex bulk and container shipments, demonstrating a strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and freight management.

- This role requires a proactive individual who can lead a team, ensure operational efficiency, and contribute significantly to the company's export growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Operations Management:

- Oversee the end-to-end export logistics process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

- Manage documentation, customs clearance, and compliance with all international trade regulations and local laws.

- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g, sales, production, finance) and external stakeholders (e.g, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents).

Bulk & Container Shipments:

- Demonstrate strong expertise in managing both bulk and containerized cargo, understanding their specific handling requirements.

- Optimize loading and unloading operations for maximum efficiency and minimal damage.

Vessel Chartering:

- Lead and manage vessel chartering activities for bulk cargo, including negotiation of charter party agreements, scheduling, and execution.

- Identify and secure suitable vessels based on cargo requirements, routes, and cost-effectiveness.

Ocean Freight Management:

- Develop and implement strategies for optimal ocean freight management, including carrier selection, rate negotiation, and service level agreements.

- Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining service quality.

- Stay updated on global shipping trends, market rates, and geopolitical factors affecting ocean freight.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of logistics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.

- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and best practices within the team.

Vendor Management:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities, and other logistics service providers.

- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service levels meet company standards.

Reporting & Analysis:

- Generate regular reports on export performance, including shipping volumes, costs, transit times, and service metrics.

- Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and support strategic decision-making.

Problem Solving:

- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to shipments, customs, or operational challenges to minimize disruptions.

- Implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a recognized institution.

- Experience: 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in export logistics management, with a significant focus on bulk and container shipments.

- Domain Expertise: Proven expertise in Vessel Chartering, Ocean Freight Management, and efficient Loading/Unloading operations.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

- Excellent knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms), customs regulations, and compliance requirements.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written).

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
