ROLE PROFILE :
JOB TITLE : Manager - Engineering
REPORTS TO : Factory Head (General Manager)
FUNCTION : Technical
LOCATION : Any of the factories in locations across India. Candidate should be willing to relocate to all the locations
POSITION OVERVIEW : To provide technical leadership in the areas of engineering practices, project management, statutes and EHS for the manufacturing unit.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES : - Ensure reliable, uninterrupted and cost-effective availability of infrastructure, utilities, equipment, and critical spares to support operations
- Drive evaluation and implementation of sustainability initiatives across energy, water, and resource conservation, including adoption of renewable solutions
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Factories Act, Environment, Electrical, Boiler, etc.) and manage all related audits and inspections
- Liaise proactively with external authorities to secure statutory approvals and ensure smooth regulatory processes
- Identify, design, and execute engineering and infrastructure projects delivering measurable business impact and operational efficiency
- Plan and implement capital expenditure in a timely manner, ensuring effective utilization and adherence to approved budgets
- Drive cost optimization across fixed and variable engineering spends through process improvements and efficient resource utilization
- Ensure strict adherence to Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across operations, maintenance, and project activities
- Build and leverage a robust vendor and partner ecosystem to ensure quality service delivery at optimal cost
- Identify, institutionalize, and drive adoption of best practices; actively showcase unit-level innovations on internal and external platforms
- Engage with unions on departmental matters, including participation in long-term settlement discussions and maintaining harmonious industrial relations
- Identify capability gaps and develop skills within engineering and cross-functional teams to build a high-performing, future-ready workforce
- Collaborate with Unit leadership to develop and execute integrated unit plans, ensuring alignment and synergy across departments
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND :
Qualifying education : B.E. / B. Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) from a Premier Engineering campuses (Preferred 2019/2020/2021 batches)
EXPERIENCE : 5 7 years of relevant experience in leading Engineering/Infrastructure Projects and Electrical/Mechanical Utilities.
