Primary Responsibilities: - Develop and communicate HSEF vision and strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, values, and industry best practices. - Drive a culture of highest safety standards and zero harm across entire value chain of the organisation. - Drive a proactive approach to identify emerging HSEF risks and opportunities, ensuring continuous improvement in HSEF performance. - Design and implement HSEF manual, policies, standards and systems to ensure organizational compliance with national and local HSEF laws, regulations, standards, and codes of practice - Drive HSEF programs and initiatives to champion a safety-first culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement in HSEF performance - Develop and manage the HSEF budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support effective HSEF programs and initiatives - Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and initiatives to enhance employees' HSEF awareness and competence - Drive initiatives to minimize the organization's environmental footprint through sustainable practices, waste reduction, and resource conservation - Lead the development of risk assessment methodologies and tools to identify, assess, and mitigate potential HSEF hazards and risks - Liaise with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders to promote HSEF excellence and contribute to industry-wide initiatives. - Guide action planning and monitor timely closure of HSEF related audit findings across all India locations - Oversee and ensure robust safety infrastructure (fire exits, fire alarms, first-aid kits, safety posters, warning signs etc.) as well as safety trainings and drills (fire mock drills, first aid training, PPE training etc.) as per the applicable statute and norms across all locations in India - Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans, ensuring all employees are trained and aware of their roles during emergencies.
