About the Role:
The Distribution Planning & Service Manager will manage the servicing and distribution of both Chemical and Non-Chemical product portfolios for all business divisions in the domestic market. The role focuses on driving service performance, improving OTIF and product availability, optimizing network norms, and ensuring strong coordination between operations, supply chain, and purchasing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end servicing and distribution for the entire Chemical and Non-Chemical portfolio across divisions (Domestic business).
- Identify and implement service-related initiatives to continuously improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) and product availability.
- Conduct weekly service reviews with Operations and Purchase teams to resolve system or logistics issues for MTS SKUs.
- Execute quarterly norm corrections as per guidelines; identify root causes of deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and execute network/norm changes for monthly S&OP exceptions, including transition planning for promotional packs and NPDs.
- Manage planning for shutdowns, manufacturing location changes, and operational build-ups.
- Act as the custodian of SOPs for distribution planning and review mechanisms; ensure process adherence.
- Analyse SLOB (Slow and Obsolete Inventory) and drive redistribution/rework plans in coordination with stakeholders.
- Prepare inventory build-up plans for seasonal requirements and manage related norm and network updates.
- Participate in S&OP and inventory review meetings and ensure timely execution of agreed action plans.
