Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Public Relations (PR) Manager/Director to lead the development and execution of comprehensive public relations strategies that enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
This individual will be responsible for managing media relations, crafting high-impact communication materials, handling crisis communications, and ensuring consistent and transparent messaging across all channels and stakeholders.
This role requires a high degree of creativity, proactive thinking, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of media dynamics.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of elevating brand perception and strengthening stakeholder relationships through strategic PR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications Planning:
- Develop and execute long-term and short-term public relations strategies that align with the organizations overall branding and marketing objectives.
Media Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, influencers, and industry publications.
- Proactively pitch stories and respond to media inquiries.
Content Development:
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, bylined articles, speeches, blog posts, and executive communications.
- Ensure content aligns with the companys tone, values, and messaging.
Reputation Management:
- Monitor public perception, news trends, and media coverage.
- Identify opportunities and risks to the companys reputation and manage response strategies accordingly.
Crisis Communication:
- Serve as a key point of contact during PR crises.
- Prepare holding statements, press responses, and internal communication to ensure transparent and accurate messaging.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including executives, HR, marketing, and investor relations to align on messaging and ensure unified communication.
Event & Campaign Support:
- Support PR for company events, product launches, leadership initiatives, and CSR activities.
- Manage media attendance, coverage, and follow-ups.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Measure the effectiveness of PR efforts through media coverage analysis, sentiment analysis, and KPIs.
- Provide regular reports to leadership with insights and recommendations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelors /master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-4+ years of proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth industry.
Core Competencies:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong press release and editorial writing capabilities
- Deep understanding of media strategy and journalist engagement
- Experience managing communications during sensitive or crisis situations
