Manager - Digital Transportation

Description:

We are hiring a Digital Transportation Manager to lead end-to-end transformation of transportation and logistics operations through digital enablement, control tower visibility, and data-driven decision-making. This is a strategic role focused on building a future-ready, technology-led transport ecosystem, driving improvements in cost, visibility, customer experience, and operational efficiency across domestic and export networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Transportation Systems (TMS) Deployment & Optimization

- Lead end-to-end deployment and adoption of Transport Management Systems (TMS)

- Define TO-BE processes, solution design, and business requirements (BRD)

- Drive integration with SAP S/4HANA, IoT/telemetry, and procurement systems

- Standardize modules including planning, tracking, ePOD, tendering, and I2P

Transport Control Tower & Real-Time Visibility

- Build and manage a digital Control Tower for end-to-end shipment visibility

- Enable predictive ETA, geofencing, exception alerts, and automated notifications

- Ensure real-time tracking across domestic and export logistics networks

Transport Procurement & Cost Optimization

- Drive digital freight sourcing (e-auctions, benchmarking, rate governance)

- Optimize lane costs and improve procurement efficiency

- Establish data-driven negotiation frameworks with logistics partners

Customer Experience & Visibility Enhancement

- Improve customer experience through predictive tracking and milestone automation

- Enable ASN automation, accurate ePOD capture, and proactive communication

- Enhance dispatch responsiveness and service reliability

Governance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and performance frameworks

- Drive SOP standardization, RCA methodologies, and capability building

- Lead change management and ensure adoption across stakeholders

Candidate Profile:

- MBA / MS in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field

- Certifications such as APICS/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, PMP/Prince2 preferred

- 7 to 12 years of experience in transportation, logistics, and digital supply chain transformation

- Strong expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, Pando, Oracle, SAP TM, etc.)

- Experience in building Digital Control Towers and real-time visibility platforms

- Strong understanding of I2P (Indent-to-Payment) processes, ePOD, freight audit

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, IoT/telemetry integrations, and API-based systems

- Strong analytical skills with experience in Power BI/Tableau

- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and vendor management
