Role Overview:
As a Manager/Deputy Manager - Statutory Audit, you will be at the forefront of ensuring financial integrity and compliance for our clients. Your day-to-day will involve leading audit engagements, managing audit teams, and interacting directly with client management to provide valuable insights and recommendations. You will collaborate closely with internal audit teams and external stakeholders, playing a crucial role in safeguarding the financial health and reputation of the organizations we serve. Your expertise will directly impact the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting, contributing to informed decision-making and enhanced stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute statutory audit engagements for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage audit teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Develop and implement audit plans and procedures tailored to the specific needs and risks of each client.
- Review financial statements and audit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
- Identify and assess internal control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement to client management.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner, fostering strong client relationships.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and auditing practices to ensure the firm's audit methodologies remain current and effective.
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to ensure a coordinated and efficient audit approach.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in statutory audit procedures, accounting principles (GAAP), and relevant regulations.
- Proven ability to manage audit teams, delegate tasks effectively, and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess financial risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptable to work in a hybrid work environment, balancing on-site client interactions with remote work effectively.
