Main Purpose of Role:

To oversee and manage all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound movement, transportation, import/export compliance, coordination with logistics partners, and cost-effective distribution. The role ensures timely delivery, optimized logistics flow, and seamless support to production and customer requirements. HVAC industry background is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Operations

- Manage end-to-end logistics activities, ensuring timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods.

- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining delivery schedules and service-level expectations.

- Ensure proper documentation, dispatch accuracy, and on-time transportation to internal and external customers and timely vehicle movement.

Import/Export & Compliance

- Oversee import/export processes in accordance with applicable customs regulations.

- Ensure compliance with statutory norms, documentation requirements, and international shipment standards.

Vendor & Transporter Management

- Manage relationships with logistics service providers, including freight forwarders, transporters, and carriers.

- Evaluate logistics partners for performance, negotiate favourable terms, and ensure reliable and cost-effective services.

Material Packing & Team Management

- Oversee all material packing activities, ensuring proper packing standards for safe handling and efficient transportation.

- Ensure packing materials, methods, and processes meet company and customer requirements.

- Lead and manage the Packing Team, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.

Cost Control & Optimization

- Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring effective cost control.

- Monitor logistics expenses, implement cost-saving initiatives, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Coordination & Communication

- Collaborate with PPC, Stores, Production, and Purchase teams to ensure smooth material flow.

- Resolve logistics bottlenecks proactively and maintain high service reliability.

System & Process Management

- Ensure accurate logistics data entries and tracking through ERP or logistics management systems.

- Drive process improvements to reduce lead times, enhance delivery performance, and strengthen supply chain visibility.

Qualifications & Skills

- Degree in Engineering (preferred).

- 10-15 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch management, and supply chain operations.

- Experience in material packing operations will be a strong advantage.

- HVAC industry background preferred.

- Strong understanding of logistics processes, import/export guidelines, and compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in ERP/logistics systems.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Analytical, problem-solving, and team-leadership capabilities.
