Manager / Deputy Manager - ECM(FIG)

About The Role:

The Manager / Deputy Manager will be part of the Investment Banking team and will focus on the BFSI sector, covering lending, insurance, asset/wealth management and fintech. The role will involve financial analysis, modelling and valuation, preparation of client pitches and transaction materials, identification of fundraising and listing opportunities, and supporting end-to-end execution of capital markets and advisory transactions. The candidate will work closely with senior bankers and clients across domestic and international companies and will be involved in evaluating investment opportunities, developing transaction structures and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed financial models, business models and valuation analyses for BFSI companies and transactions.

- Conduct industry and company research across lending, insurance, asset/wealth management and fintech.

- Identify potential fund-raising, listing, M&A, PE and other strategic transaction opportunities within the BFSI sector.

- Prepare high-quality pitch books, transaction presentations, valuation and pricing materials, CIMs, roadshow presentations and investment committee materials.

- Support client coverage and participate in senior-level client meetings and pitches.

- Execute transactions across IPOs, FPOs, Rights Issues, QIP, Private Equity and M&A advisory.

- Support deal structuring, due diligence, transaction documentation review and coordination with multiple transaction stakeholders.

- Analyse optimal capital structures and develop transaction solutions based on client requirements.

- Evaluate investment opportunities and support market research and entry-strategy analysis.

- Develop and suggest relevant products and transaction structures based on client needs.

- Maintain an end-to-end understanding of the capital markets value chain and transaction lifecycle.

- Work closely with senior team members on transaction execution and client deliverables.

- Travel frequently for client meetings, pitches and transaction-related requirements.

- Use research and market intelligence platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, Prime Database, Claude and Copilot.

Qualifications & Experience:

- CA or MBA in Finance/Marketing from a reputed B-school.

- 3+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Corporate Finance or a closely related transaction advisory role.

- Strong knowledge of the BFSI sector, specifically across lending, insurance, asset/wealth management and fintech.

- Experience in financial modelling, valuation, financial statement analysis and business evaluation.

- Exposure to capital market products including IPO, FPO, Rights Issues, QIP, Private Equity and M&A advisory.

- Experience in fund-raising, M&A and/or JV transactions within BFSI would be relevant.

- Exposure to client coverage, transaction execution, market research and investment evaluation.

- Demonstrated involvement in equity transactions or strategic transactions within the candidate's organisation.
