Role Overview:
As a Demand Planning Manager based in Gurugram, you will serve as the strategic bridge between market intelligence, supply chain operations, and commercial growth. Your day-to-day involves synthesizing complex data sets to build robust forecasting models that dictate inventory health and production schedules. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, and Logistics teams, to align demand signals with organizational capacity. By driving precision in our planning processes, you directly influence bottom-line profitability, minimize stock-outs, and ensure that our supply chain remains agile enough to meet evolving customer expectations in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end demand planning process by integrating statistical forecasting with market insights to ensure high forecast accuracy across all product categories.
- Partner with the Sales and Marketing teams to incorporate promotional calendars and new product launches into the demand plan, ensuring supply chain readiness for market shifts.
- Execute comprehensive capacity planning exercises to identify potential bottlenecks, enabling the operations team to optimize resource allocation and production throughput.
- Utilize advanced data analytics to conduct root-cause analysis on forecast variances, implementing corrective measures that improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Present monthly demand reviews to senior leadership, providing actionable insights that drive inventory investment decisions and working capital optimization.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in building complex demand models and statistical forecasting techniques, with a strong command over data analytics tools to derive business intelligence.
- Proven ability to navigate cross-functional environments, effectively communicating technical planning constraints to non-technical stakeholders to achieve consensus.
- Possess a minimum of 6 - 10 years of professional experience in supply chain planning or demand management, preferably within a fast-paced retail or FMCG environment.
- Strong educational background, typically holding an MBA or a postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute.
- High degree of adaptability and comfort working in a hybrid office environment in Gurugram, maintaining productivity while managing multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously.
