Role: Demand & Supply Planning Manager

1. The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing demand planning and supply chain activities to ensure accurate and timely availability of products. The role involves balancing customer needs against inventory costs and working closely with sales, marketing, and operations to align demand forecasts with production schedules.

2. Supply Planning:

- Ensure that supply plans are in alignment with demand forecasts.

- Work with production and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstocks.

3. Inventory Management:

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure they are kept at optimal levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.

- Implement and monitor safety stock levels to manage variability in demand and supply.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Utilize advanced statistical tools and models to analyse sales data and forecast accuracy.

- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, demand forecast accuracy, and supply chain performance metrics.

5. Collaboration and Coordination:

- Work closely with various departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Production, and Procurement) to ensure alignment across the supply chain.

- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review and refine forecast assumptions and supply plans.

6. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for improving forecasting techniques and processes.

- Implement best practices in demand planning and inventory management.

7. Customer Service:

- Ensure high service levels by aligning supply plans with customer requirements.

- Work towards minimizing stockouts and backorders, thereby ensuring timely product availability.
