- The Demand and Supply Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing demand planning and supply chain activities to ensure accurate and timely availability of products.
- The role involves balancing customer needs against inventory costs and working closely with sales, marketing, and operations to align demand forecasts with production schedules.
Supply Planning:
- Ensure that supply plans are in alignment with demand forecasts.
- Work with production and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstocks.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure they are kept at optimal levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Implement and monitor safety stock levels to manage variability in demand and supply.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize advanced statistical tools and models to analyse sales data and forecast accuracy.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, demand forecast accuracy, and supply chain performance metrics.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with various departments (e. , Sales, Marketing, Production, and Procurement) to ensure alignment across the supply chain.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review and refine forecast assumptions and supply plans.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving forecasting techniques and processes.
- Implement best practices in demand planning and inventory management.
Customer Service:
- Ensure high service levels by aligning supply plans with customer requirements.
- Work towards minimizing stockouts and backorders, thereby ensuring timely product availability
