Role Purpose: The Senior Data Scientist's core responsibility will be to help business units achieve their business goals through data-driven insights and analysis. This role helps build analytical models and scorecards to aid leadership better understand the underlying trends and key drivers of each of the business units. Understand the business of various verticals of the organisation and identify their pain points. Formulate analytical solutions through the use of Statistical, Machine Learning / AI / Deep Learning / Visualization and data mining techniques to provide recommendations / insights as per business expectations. Responsibilities: - Interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and relationships. - Initiate, prioritize and execute Analytics projects using Advanced Data Modeling/Statistical/AI/ML techniques to identify insights that can guide strategic decisions and outcomes - Evaluate the right technique / method that can answer business problems. - Develop, automate & optimize statistical models to analyze data and make predictions - Need to deliver solutions to production through the software development lifecycle - Communicate actionable insights using data, often for the business stakeholders and non-technical audience. - Closely work with internal and external stakeholders from the beginning until the deployment of the analytical models. - Proactively find opportunities within different business areas and collaborate with the business for the subsequent alignment. - Staying updated about the latest advancements of data science and adjacent fields to ensure that there are better results. - Monitoring the performance of junior data scientists and giving them required practical guidance. Education: Essential: - Master's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field. Preferred: - Proficient in more than one of the tools - SAS, Python, SPSS, and R of which either Python or R mandatory Functional Expertise: - Over 5 years of Applied Machine learning experience in the fields of Machine Learning, Recommender Systems, Statistical Modelling, Predictive Modelling, Text Mining, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Image Processing etc. - Experience working on Big Data - Experience working in Retail/Service/Manufacturing domain preferred. - End-to-end hands on experience in data gathering, preparation, feature engineering, model building, validation, and productionizing at scale. - Proficiency in SQL and either R or Python must. - Experience working on SciPy stack (e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit learn, matplotlib) and open source deep learning libraries like TensorFlow, Keras, Pytorch - Exposure to Cloud technologies and Service preferred
