Customer Strategy & Planning Manager - FMCG Our client is a multi-brand FMCG MNC. - Your Role & Key Responsibilities: Your Role: - The Customer Strategy & Planning role is a critical role for the organization focused on representing across the organization, developing the commercial & execution strategy for all brands in the marketplace. - The successful candidate will have an opportunity to build an accelerated career path where business acumen, financial acumen, strategy development and leadership are core competencies. - The role reports the Head of Category Development & Revenue Growth for India & SEA Your Responsibilities: Category Strategy & Operations: - Work with cross functional teams to develop the commercial strategy - Plays an integral role in managing the P&L for the region - with particular focus on trade investment - Support key accounts to ensure customer launch plans are optimal - Sets & optimizes the pricing & promotional strategy for each brand - Partner with Trade Promotion teams to continuously improve effectiveness & efficiency of promotions - Responsible for the analytics, strategy, and communication of cost price increases - Analyse and implement actions for category KPI's - Volume share, value share, optimised investment - Improvement of distribution and OSA - Tracking pricing of products in the market vs competitors - Represents the customer, the shopper and the CD function in the innovation process - Ensures relevant shopper knowledge is embedded into plans - Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that will be a key growth driver for the category, with clear actions and KPI's (measured & tracked via the P&L/market share) - Responsible for input and consolidation of the Annual Business Plan Skills and Experience: Educational Background: - Completed Bachelor's/PG Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or Finance. - 2-3 years working experience within FMCG (analytical experience is a bonus). - Advanced data analytics skills, expert in excel, working knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI - Experience working with financials tools as such Oracle, SAP (with strong financial / P&L understanding) - Experience working with external market data tools such as Nielsen, Kantar - Extremely strong skills in business acumen, strategic thinking, financial acumen, communication, presentation and leadership - Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner and clearly articulate impact to business, i.e. join-the-dots between data analytics & simple, actionable insights - Able to interact and work well in a team to collaborate & co-create opportunities; ability to work cross-functionally and lead from within role. - Curious to understand the consumer, shopper and customer through data driven insights, trade visits & immersions - to ensure insights and strategic recommendations are relevant, differentiated & future fit. - Language Requirements: English - Additional desirable experience: - India/Asia customer account management/familiarity with the Indian/SEA retail marketplace - CCD/commercial operations - Category strategy/performance management - Working in a start-up environment - Experience in Personal Care Industry - Who we are looking for - An entrepreneurial mindset - Bias for action, drive for results - Confidence and fearlessness to take decisions, exercise autonomy - A strong sense of ownership and accountability - Organizationally and analytically strong - High level of resilience and the ability to perform under pressure - Curiosity: A customer centric mindset - You love to win, and have fun doing it- - A passion for the Beauty & Personal Care World - Transparency, openness & honesty - Passion for diversity & inclusion Join us: If you want to further unlock your potential and work in an entrepreneurial environment where you will have the autonomy to act like a founder to drive brands and business forward.
