Role Details:

Position: Manager - Costing

Location: Pardi, Gujarat

Qualification: CA / CMA

Experience: 3-8 Years

Industry Preference: Manufacturing (Printing / Packaging preferred)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Timings: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Role Objective:

To manage and optimize cost structures across production and business operations by implementing robust costing systems, ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving profitability, and driving working capital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Costing & Analysis:

- Perform standard vs actual cost variance analysis

- Conduct pre & post costing (product-wise/batch-wise)

- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify cost-saving opportunities

- Support pricing decisions with detailed cost insights

2. Inventory Management & Control:

- Lead inventory control processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency

- Monitor inventory levels to optimize working capital

- Implement inventory techniques like FIFO, JIT, EOQ

- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting

3. Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Drive annual budgeting and forecasting processes

- Monitor budget vs actual performance

- Provide recommendations for corrective actions

4. Profitability & MIS Reporting:

- Analyze profitability across:

a. Product

b. Customer

c. Segment

d. Location

e. Sales personnel

- Ensure timely and accurate MIS reporting

5. Cost Control & Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives

- Collaborate with production and IT teams to improve systems and processes

- Drive automation and lean practices for cost efficiency

6. Stakeholder Management:

- Collaborate with internal teams: Production, Planning, Sales, Finance, IT

- Coordinate with external stakeholders: Auditors, consultants, service providers

- Drive cross-functional alignment for cost optimization initiatives

Key KPI's:

- Cost variance (Standard vs Actual)

- Cost reduction impact (- and %)

- Budget vs actual performance

- Inventory valuation accuracy

- MIS reporting timeliness and quality

- Costing accuracy for products

- Preferred Candidate Profile

- Qualified CA / CMA with 3-8 years of experience

- Strong experience in manufacturing costing

- Exposure to inventory control, budgeting, and profitability analysis

- Preferably from Printing / Packaging / Manufacturing industry

- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
