Description:


- Support development of Company Strategy document, including business strategy (lending products) and functional strategy.


- Support / lead strategic projects (design phase, pilots, and program management of execution phase). Strategic projects could cover areas like existing business growth, inorganic growth, new business strategy and incubation, partnerships (synergies with Corporate OEMs), risk management, risk analytics, collections and recoveries excellence, operational efficiencies, and digital / AI strategy.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Develop presentations for Management Reviews / Company Strategy; identify areas of focus / value creation for the business / organization.


- Responsible for design of strategic projects / initiatives, business and financial case, and preparation of pilot / execution blueprint.


- Support execution and delivery of strategic projects e.g. incubation of new business, new partnerships (synergies with Corporate OEMs), underwriting transformation, early bucket collections excellence, Digital / AI projects, etc.


- Drive CEO priorities understand CEO priorities in CEO-LT reviews, develop/review minutes, track closure with cross-functional senior teams / LT members.


- Macro / industry / competition intelligence to identify opportunities for SMICC business growth / value creation. May include both primary and secondary market research and data analysis.


- Above responsibilities may include cross-functional interaction with Sales, Product, Risk Policy, Underwriting, Collections / Recoveries, Tech teams.


- Above responsibilities may also require engagements with external partners, including business partners, Strategy / Tech / Risk Management Consulting Partners, investment bankers, digital / tech service providers.


COMPETENCIES:


- Strong problem-solving skills: hypothesis based problem-solving, strong analytical skills, thinking-on-the-feet, resourcefulness.


- Business judgment and practicality; data analysis (excel skills)


- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication, articulate, concise, senior and confident presence.


- Relationship management.


- Able to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.


- Domain knowledge of lending value-chain is a strong plus (experience in lending industry) across functions like Strategy, Product, Finance, Risk (Policy, Governance, Collections/Recoveries), Analytics, etc.


Expertise required / Domain Knowledge:


- Prior Banking / NBFC experience or Strategy Consulting
