Description:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle - from handling new project enquiries and tender specifications to order finalization, billing, and payment collection.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between customers, technical, operations, and factory teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage enquiries for new projects, regular customer requests, and GeM tenders, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Coordinate with the Sr. GM Regional Operations, Erection, and Technical teams to finalize product rates, erection charges, and tender specifications.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial offers; follow up with customers through visits, calls, and emails to track offer status.
- Finalize orders and forward supply details to Cheyyar Works, coordinating with the CAD Department for BOQ preparation and approvals.
- Oversee material arrangements by liaising with the factory, Purchase, and Logistics teams to ensure timely dispatches.
- Manage customer payments - including advance collection, billing, and follow-up for final balance payments.
- Prepare and maintain order booking, billing, collection budgets, and lost order records for reporting and performance tracking.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in industrial or project-based sales (preferably in fabrication, mechanical, or heavy engineering).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with GeM portal operations.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required.
