Job Title: Lead State Government Matters

Reports To: Head External Affairs & CSR
Experience: 8+ years in State Government Relations
Qualification: Post-Graduation (preferably in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or related fields)
Role Summary:
The Lead State Government Matters is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with state-level government departments, policymakers, and regulatory authorities.
The role involves ensuring favourable resolutions of business-critical issues, timely approvals, and smooth coordination between the company and government agencies.
This position plays a key role in representing the organization in industry forums, chambers of commerce, and state-level panels, while safeguarding the companys interests and supporting its overall growth and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all matters requiring intervention or coordination with State Government or Local Administration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, officials, and influencers across state and local government bodies.
- Ensure timely approvals, clearances, and renewals from departments such as Transport, MPCB, MIDC, and other state regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to represent the companys position on policy and regulatory issues.
- Represent the organization in government forums, chambers of commerce, and industry associations.
- Ensure timely payment of all applicable government dues and local taxes.
- Support CSR and branding initiatives by creating strategic linkages with government programs and departments.
- Identify and engage with the right external stakeholders to drive company objectives.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness in departmental activities and maintain budgetary control.
