Manager - (Compliance Legal) Innova Solutions is currently hiring for the role of Legal Compliance Officer at its Noida location. The individual will lead a team of compliance attorneys and support staff and will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and implementing the companys legal compliance functions, working closely with the General Counsels office. Designation: Manager Compliance Summary of Job Duties: - The Compliance Officer is expected to perform the following functions: - Recruit and manage a team of compliance attorneys and support staff to handle legal compliance issues on a global basis. - Run monthly meetings of the companys cross-departmental Compliance Team. - Oversee the companys process for handling and responding to data privacy requests under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar laws. - Monitor and stay up-to-date on regulatory and legal developments. Research, interpret, understand, summarize, and advise the business on relevant changes in laws that apply to the company, including employment laws, data privacy laws, and anti-bribery laws in the United States and several other countries in which the company does business, such as Canada, Mexico, Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan. - Review company policies and practices on a regular basis to ensure that all are in compliance with relevant laws. - Develop and implement mechanisms for detecting, reporting, and correcting violations of the law. - Oversee the companys legal compliance audit process. - Assist various internal departments such as IT, Human Resources, Operations, and Finance in developing and implementing compliance projects. - Any other responsibilities assigned by the General Counsel. Professionalism/Teamwork: - Work with a degree of professional independence. - Work as part of a team of lawyers in India and the U.S. - Highlight critical matters and work in consultation with the General Counsel and other legal teammembers for closure of the same. Collaboration: - Ability to interact independently with business heads. - Coordinate with different business units/departments and support functions to provide legal advice to the business, legal, and compliance teams. Employment Type: Full-time, 2-11 pm shift in the Noida office. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in law (LLB), with an advanced law degree (LLM) from a U.S. university preferred. - Knowledge of U.S. employment and data privacy laws. - 9-15 years of experience working in a law firm or in-house is strongly preferred. - Fluent in English.
