
Role Summary
This is a commercial leadership role responsible for managing contracts, costs, and financial discipline across projects. The role ensures controlled budgets, strong contract governance, and smooth, dispute-free project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-contract activities: tendering, BOQ review, cost estimation, and risk assessment
- Manage post-contract execution: budgeting, cash flow, billing (RA bills), and cost tracking
- Handle contracts & claims: drafting, negotiation, and closure of variations/change orders
- Drive cost optimisation & value engineering initiatives
- Ensure client coordination with institutional clients and PMCs
- Implement ERP systems, processes, and commercial governance frameworks
Key Skills Required
- Strong experience in tendering, estimation & BOQs
- Expertise in contracts, claims & commercial negotiations
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control & financial planning
- Experience working with institutional clients / large infra projects
- Familiarity with ERP tools (SAP/Oracle), Excel & analytics Success Metrics
- Minimal budget variance and accurate cost projections
- Timely billing and cash flow management
- Zero/low disputes and strong contract compliance
- Improved margins through cost optimisation
