Manager - CRO Office - MNC Bank


- We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our CRO Office as Manager. The incumbent will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to support a wide range of risk management initiatives and regulatory-driven projects in alignment with RBI guidelines and Basel III requirements.


- This role will involve active coordination across departments, regulatory compliance, policy reviews, and risk-related automation and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory & Strategic Projects Support

- Assist in implementation of regulatory projects such as:

- ECL-based provisioning norms and IFRS implementation (credit & risk-related aspects)

- Automation of Early Warning Triggers

- Standard asset provisioning (including country risk/derivatives provisioning)

- Market Risk regulations like IRRB, LCR model changes, VMCSA, and Initial Margining

- Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) requirements

- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (e.g. PwC, KPMG) for project delivery within agreed timelines.

2. Risk Policy & Governance

- Support the CRO in reviewing and commenting on internal policies, SOPs, and guidelines from a risk perspective.

- Ensure risk alignment and consistency across documentation and internal frameworks.

3. Risk Oversight & MIS

- Assist in managing Operational Risk MIS and reporting to local management, regulator (RBI), and Head Office.

- Ensure timely, accurate, and automated reporting in line with regulatory expectations.

4. Risk Management Committee (RMC) Support

- Assist the CRO, who chairs the RMC, in preparing and presenting relevant risk matters, updates, and documentation for discussion and decision-making.

5. Regulatory Documentation

- Help in preparing/validating regulatory documents like ICAAP, LFAR, etc., in coordination with other teams.

6. Audit & Process Improvement Initiatives

- Support implementation of statutory audit recommendations (e.g., automation of regulatory MIS, reducing manual redundancies).

- Liaise with stakeholders and external consultants for process optimization and system improvements.

Key Requirements:

- 5-8 years of experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or Banking Operations

- Strong understanding of RBI regulations, Basel III, IFRS, and risk governance frameworks

- Prior experience working on regulatory projects, MIS/reporting automation, and policy drafting preferred

- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate across multiple departments

- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management - ability to work with senior leadership and external consultants

- CA / MBA (Finance) / FRM / CFA or other relevant risk certifications preferred

- Work directly with the Chief Risk Officer on strategic and regulatory risk initiatives
