Manager - ACCOUNTING & FINANCE CONTROLLERSHIP

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead Accounting & Finance Controllership activities, manage client engagements, oversee financial reporting and statutory compliance, and drive high-quality service delivery.

The role requires strong expertise in Indian accounting practices, financial reporting, statutory compliances, client management, and team leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct comprehensive reviews of accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards, rules, and regulations.

2. Prepare and/or review Management Information Systems (MIS), Financial Statements, Tax Audit Reports, and other statutory deliverables.

3. Coordinate audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements, documentation, and observations.

4. Liaise with subject matter experts to provide comprehensive accounting, tax, and compliance support to clients.

5. Review statutory and regulatory documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

6. Manage client communication across routine and non-routine matters and ensure timely resolution of client requirements.

7. Develop and present client governance dashboards and MIS for periodic governance meetings.

8. Support client retention and identify opportunities for portfolio growth.

9. Lead and manage the assigned team, focusing on performance, retention, capability building, and professional development.

10. Guide and mentor team members, including Accounts Graduates and Fresher Chartered Accountants.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 9+ years of post-qualification experience.

2. Strong working knowledge of Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP).

3. Proven experience in preparation and review of Financial Statements, Tax Audit Reports, and Income Tax Computations for statutory compliance.

4. Strong understanding of accounting practices, routine tax compliances, periodic book closing, and preparation/review of MIS.

5. Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing regulations, Company Law, and fundamental Payroll Compliance.

6. Demonstrated team management and people development skills.

7. Extensive experience in client engagement, stakeholder management, and relationship management.

8. Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
