
Role Purpose :
The Cluster Planning Manager is responsible for end-to-end infrastructure design, capacity planning, festive readiness, cost governance, and people planning across the cluster - Fulfilment Centers (FCs) and Sortation Centers (SCs). The role acts as a central point of coordination between site operations, zonal teams, and central stakeholders to ensure operational readiness, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Infrastructure & Capacity Design :
- Design and finalize FC and SC layouts
- Prepare infrastructure input sheets and IT & Non-IT asset lists for FCs and SCs
- Design infrastructure capacity for FCs and SCs aligned with volume growth
- Develop conveyor logic for FCs
- Act as central POC for LCA and automation initiatives
- Maintain BOI asset repositories and manage asset governance
Transition Management :
- Lead site transitions
- Coordinate with central and zonal teams for transition planning and stabilization
Planning & Operations Governance :
- FC and SC planning sheets including load, IPP, and manpower validation
- Drive AOP, ramp-up, and ramp-down planning for cluster
- Manage FC inventory planning (allocated vs actual cuft)
- Optimize outbound capacity through spillage resolution, cutoff management, additional caps, and prepull
- Coordinate central and zonal alignment on load attainment changes
- Manage incentive plans for contingencies and festive periods
- Ensure tenure management, NAPS tracking, and diversity ratio compliance
- Manage holiday callouts and special operational plans
Festive & Sale Period Planning :
- Obtain capacity, infra, and IPP sign-offs for festive periods
- Create and execute sale period playbooks
- Drive BBD premium discussions including ramp-up and ramp-down cost planning
- Coordinate festive hiring approvals and incentives with zonal and central stakeholders
Financial & Cost Management :
- Own VCPS walk and FTC & FTE AOP for the cluster
- Drive IPP and productivity improvement phasing
- Perform due diligence on FSC variable cost sheets
- Manage cross-charge processes and recurrent cost projections
- Handle GM fund allocation and expense management
People & Workforce Planning :
- Calculate FTE AOP and cluster-level FTE cost
- Track FTE AOP versus actuals and highlight variances
Stakeholder Management & Governance :
- Coordinate monthly cluster reviews
- Prepare zonal weekly review decks and dashboards
- Participate in zonal, central, HR, Ops, L&D, and loss review calls
- Support Zonal Strategy roadmap projects
Performance Management & Reporting :
- Drive cluster goal setting and track goal vs actual performance
- Track monthly target vs actual across all metrics
- Monitor volume growth trends MOM
- Create leadership PPTs, success stories, and monthly newsletters
