- We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Buying & Merchandising Manager to drive category growth for a fast-growing fashion brand.
- The role involves end-to-end ownership of buying and merchandising functions, including assortment planning, trend analysis, vendor management, and inventory optimization across Menswear, Womenswear, and Sportswear categories.
- The ideal candidate will combine strong fashion sensibility with data-driven decision-making to deliver high-performing product strategies across both online and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category-wise buying and assortment strategies aligned with business objectives
- Drive range planning and seasonal collection development based on trend insights and consumer demand
- Monitor and optimize sales performance, inventory levels, and sell-through metrics
- Manage pricing, promotions, and markdown strategies to maximize margins and minimize inventory risks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiations and sourcing strategies
- Ensure seamless product availability and execution across E-commerce and Retail channels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and supply chain for successful product launches
- Leverage data and analytics to generate actionable insights and improve category performance
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NIFT Graduate (Mandatory)
- 5-12 years of experience in Buying / Merchandising within Fashion/Apparel industry
- Strong exposure to Menswear / Womenswear / Sportswear categories
- Experience working across both E-commerce and Retail formats
- In-depth understanding of fashion trends, product lifecycle, and category planning
- Hands-on experience in vendor management, sourcing, and pricing strategies
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
